FAQ

What counts as an 'AI call'?

One call = one POST to any /api/* AI endpoint that hits Claude. Local-only features (Hand-drawn restyle, Image trace local mode, Image variables CSV) don't count toward the quota.

Can I import my Illustrator (.ai) files?

Yes — for .ai files saved with 'PDF Compatible' enabled (the default), our Migration Wizard parses them natively with full geometry preservation. For older binary-only .ai files, we trace via Claude Vision (lossy approximation). ~80% of real-world .ai files in our test corpus migrate cleanly.

Do you export real Photoshop (.psd) and After Effects (.aepx) files?

Yes — with honest caveats. PSD export uses our pure-JS 8BPS writer (structurally valid · verified at /validate). AEPX/MOGRT exports emit valid AE/Premiere XML/ZIP structure. However real-world Adobe round-trip QA is in progress — we have not yet certified that every file opens cleanly in every Adobe version. Self-test your specific files at /validate-roundtrip before committing to production.

What's the AI quota reset cadence?

Daily at 00:00 UTC. Unused quota does not roll over. Enterprise plans can configure custom quota windows.

Is my data secure?

Documents are stored encrypted at rest (AES-256). Free/Team plans store on our infrastructure (JIB1 datacenter, Cloudflare Tunnel, Pattaya Thailand). Enterprise plans can request EU/US data residency or on-prem deployment.

Can we self-host?

Enterprise plans receive a Helm chart for Kubernetes deployment + Docker Compose for single-host. Includes the Yjs WebSocket server (port 3141) and the Next.js app (port 3130).

Do you offer a SOC2 report?

SOC2 Type II audit is scheduled for Q3 2026 with an external auditor. Until then, Enterprise customers can request our security overview (/security) and architecture diagrams under NDA.

What happens if I cancel?

Your documents export to .v8n + .svg + .pdf and remain downloadable for 90 days. We never hold your data hostage.
